Welcome to my 1000th post.
... that's a thousand.
And what have I even said in all those posts? A lot of nothing, I guess. I'd imagined I'd be having a great big giveaway or doing something really special for the occasion, but here it is, and here I am.
And there you are. Oops.
Well, this September marks 4 years of blogging; maybe I'll shoot for that. Sorry. Boy, what a letdown.
But hey, can I make it up to you by giving you a photo tour of (some of) our new home? Oh, great! Come on in... shoes off, please. We have carpet, you see, and I juuust removed the many spots & stains (using this magical cleaner, by the way. Thank you, mother-in-law!). Just for fun, let's go in the back door.
Okay, here's the living room. We're all really excited about the fireplace. I think it's cozy & romantic... Nate likes to play with fire... Livvie thinks we'll roast marshmallows every night... and Ellia likes to climb up and down. See that teeny piece of doorway trim to the right? Go stand in that doorway & turn around.
Just the other corner of the living room. The couch has 2 large windows behind it. Go stand in front of the TV.
For the record, I do not recommend standing in front of the TV. However, Nate isn't home, and there is no sports event of interest playing at this time. You're safe.
And that's the door we came in!
Okay, just take a walk down this little hallway, taking notice of the washer/dryer on the main floor! Wahoo and hallelujah! THIS is my favorite part of the house--not having to lug laundry up and down from the basement when I'm tired and pregnant and grouchy and needing my chiropractor and pressed for time and hungry.
First door on your left is the bathroom. That's not finished yet. Do not enter. You'll have to hold it.
Next door on your left is the nursery. It's teeny, but so is the baby. Besides, I don't think she'll mind.
This is part of the free crib that we scored on freecycle awhile back. As Baby Time gets closer, Ellia will be using it, and Baby (yet unnamed) will get the one that matches the changing table.
Shhh... we're walking by the girls' room. They're sleeping. You'll have to come back another time to see their room.
Welcome to the Master Bedroom. This is also my favorite part of our new house. Our other bedroom was, shall we say... a little less than inviting. We actually get to use our dressers now--they were used for other things in the other house as our bedroom had enormous built-in dressers. Hey, go over and stand on the other side of the bed.
We will eventually get closet doors. Those boxes contain off-season clothing, my gift stash, etc...
The front room will have to wait, too. There are still a couple boxes in there.
Welcome to our new home!

Lovely home -- what a cozy looking living room. I'm very envious of your main floor washing machine center. Enjoy!
You don't know me, but I found your blog a long time ago and have read for over a year. So glad you found the perfect home for you! Congrats and good luck with the baby.
