A somber and prayerful week

Today was Sanctity of Life Sunday, an event that did not go unnoticed by our godly pastor. His message focused on the fact that God--not man--has the right to choose life.
He spoke from Psalm 139, highlighting the preciousness of every person, whether inside or outside of the womb. I'm so thankful for such a truth-proclaiming man in our pulpit!

He challenged us to pray earnestly for a change of heart for our president-elect this week. Mr. Obama has said that his first order of business as President will be to pass the Freedom of Choice Act (FOCA), which will eliminate all of the abortion restrictions, both on state & federal levels.

"The first thing I’d do as President is sign the Freedom of Choice Act. That’s the first thing I’d do."

I for one have "signed" the Fight FOCA Petition. Have you?

Our pastor preached on the same thing. Amen. We are collecting money in baby bottles for our local caring pregnancy center.
