Museum & Aquarium Trips

While we were in Chicago, we spent two mornings downtown. First we went to the Museum of Science and Industry.
Leah and Livvie sit in a trolley.

Livvie & Mommy, inside a tractor tire.

Brienna really cut loose and let the good times roll!

The incubator, where the girls squealed over all the cute little baby chicks.

The highlight of the trip for me was the exhibit called "You! The Experience." Within the exhibit is a section called "Prenatal Development." It was all sorts of amazing! And a little creepy, since the unborn babies are real. I can't fathom how anyone can look at that display and say that there is no Creator God. Or that that little creature is not a baby, but a mass of tissue. See more here, if you have the stomach.

We also went to Shedd Aquarium, where the girls LOVED watching all the marine life! This is a jellyfish tank. We also saw "Fantasea," a live performance which included fairies, flying boats, and fun animals. Livvie would've stayed there all day if she could.
That IS her thing, after all.

I've seen that exhibit, "You! The Human Experience." It is amazing. The first time I saw it was on our 9th grade field trip to Chicago. It made a huge impression on my young mind.
Shedd's is wonderful, isn't it? I could wander around in there all day!
So glad you got to go on such super fun outings!

I have seen that exhibit, too - in high school! It is totally amazing! If only MORE students and adults would go! What an impact that would have. Glad you guys got to have such a great time on vacation!

My husband's whole family lives in Chicago and we go often when we are in the states....We've never been to any of the museums.

That Human experience exhibit was amazing, thanks for sharing with us.

Brienna is such a doll.
