Titus 2, applied

I recently asked an older woman in my church (older as in, my mother's age) to teach me the basics of my borrowed sewing machine. Kathy came over on Thursday evening and graciously spent 3 hours helping me begin a sewing venture--living room curtains.

I'm so excited about making a new & different kind of contribution to our home. And it's always a good idea to learn a new skill.

What new thing have you tried lately?

Oh how I WISH I had learned my mom's sewing techniques! There are so many ways I could have applied those skills over the last several years--including now in my own house. We'd probably have curtains instead of the ugly old shades that came with the house. :o) Good luck--don't forget to share your creations!

Hey, that's great! My grandma is going to be teaching me the basics too... by force though. Not too thrilled but the upside is that I get to spend a couple days with my grandparents. Hope you enjoy your sewing experience!

LOL! Yes, but she is not oldER enough to be called older. She is still young enough to be feisty!

Just wait till she sees you...
