Post-holiday Bargains

I just love finding deals! I have to be careful, though, that I don't waste money--even if it's a great deal. (That was for you, Papa!) :)

Today I made a rare stop at K-Mart to check out their post-holiday markdowns. I snagged this 3-piece storage set for $4.99! I'm excited--my wrapping supplies were beginning to show some wear & tear from unkempt storage attempts.

I also picked up 3 pairs of thick (cute!) socks at $.75 each. I needed new black ones, and the other 2 pairs will be gifted.

One 74-cent oversized Post-It notepad will replenish our dwindling supply, and one is a gift. And the 75-cent Christmas ponytail holder will be Olivia's next year!

This year I ran out of so many wrapping supplies--bows, tissue paper, ribbon, AND much of my wrapping paper. Thanks to all the great clearance prices, I'm stocked and ready for next year!

Those ARE great deals. We scored new Christmas stockings for next year (we only had 2) for $1.29 each at Target's 90% off sale. WOO HOO!

Isn't it fun! I, too, made a big purchase this year in the after Christmas sales. At Linens 'n Things I bought a plastic container for wrapping paper. The kind that stands up...you know. Anyways, I had just a flat under-bed type of plastic storage that I used for it...and some of my wrapping paper rolls were too long. A friend of mine told me that the same type (stand up) of containers at Wal-Mart didn't hold the long rolls either. Well...this one DID! I was so excited. I did pay $9.99 for it, down from $14.99...it's probably less now, but I couldn't pass it up at the time.
