Exceeding Abundantly

As y'all know, our family is growing rapidly! Our little house will definitely be too small by Baby Time, so we've been praying about a possible move. Nate's parents' house, just across town, has more space (You'll remember they moved to the Chicago area a couple years ago.)--one more bedroom than ours, larger living areas, a bigger kitchen, and a lovely fenced-in backyard. Their renters moved out a month ago, so it's sitting empty.

Of course, in order to move over there, we'd have to have someone renting our place. Thanks to a low, low selling price and a great interest rate when we purchased it, we've had a super-low price to offer. We asked just a couple people we knew, and then didn't do much of anything, except wait. That's God's favorite, I think.

Skip to Saturday. My friend calls me. She knows a couple who may be interested, a mutual friend of Nate's, actually! Can she give them our number. Of course! Later, she calls back--they're really interested! Can they drive by it? Sure!

Sunday night: The husband calls Nate; they want to see it. Can they come tomorrow? Absolutely! (enter frenzied cleaning/de-cluttering mode!)

Monday evening: Interested couple comes & tours the house. They seem excited. Or is it just that we're excited? Many prayers go up, asking God for His best, and the sweet spirit to accept His best.

Tuesday afternoon: The husband calls Nate. "We want the house! How soon can we move in?"

So it looks like we'll be moving in about 4-6 weeks! We're so excited to have trustworthy renters in here, and more excited to have more room to grow. And it's breathtaking to watch God do His thing... just working in hearts & situations, moving people around like little pieces on a chess board. Praise Him!

What a great example of the Lord's leading and provision. Thanks for sharing & be sure to take it easy with the move!

Praise the LORD! He certainly knows what we need, and when!

It is funny to me that most moves happen to families when the Mother is expecting....I think it is part of the nesting process:-)

I moved both times I was expecting.

My best advice is to delegate as much as you can, there are plenty of willing people to help.

Praying for ya.

I am having a BBQ at my house for Brienna's 1st B-day and you had posted last Summer about making a bean salad, I wrote the recipe down and now can not find it. I looked on recipe under your blog and can not find it.....Do you remember the recipe, it sounded so good and easy....a lot of beans.
