No peanut butter, thanks!

Yesterday Livvie was given peanut butter crackers in junior church.
Great, except for one thing:
She's allergic.

Thankfully, she doesn't get horribly sick from PB. Just a scratchy, swollen throat, along with some wheezing & coughing. Yesterday she coughed so much that she vomited a few times. Poor thing. It was a rough afternoon in our household--nary a nap for any of us! She's just fine now, back to normal and spunky as can be!

Oh, poor dear! That is awful! I hope the jr. church workers got a stern reprimand. Arrrgh.

oh, my goodness! Those allergies can be severe! Praise the Lord she is okay. Does she know to say that she's allergic?

Well, no, Alicia, they didn't. But they felt AWFUL. Called me twice that afternoon/evening to check on her and apologize.

She doesn't know to say she's allergic, Jenny, and it's probably my own fault. She's been eating almond butter for over a year, but I call it peanut butter to her. Guess I'd better work on that. What a smart idea.
