Weekend Blessings and Other Miscellaney

I fluffed up Olivia's hair after her bath last night. WOW, she's got more hair than I thought! Last evening I fed her a little plain yogurt, and she got a bit of a rash on her cheeks and arms. Guess I'll wait awhile before trying again.

Here's a surefire way to tell if your baby's tired! As we were getting ready for church this morning, Olivia kept lying down on the floor. Since today was our Pastor's last Sunday, we had a 10:30 service, potluck, and afternoon service. I was sure Olivia would nap for the 1st service, but no dice. "Fine, then," I thought. "She'll surely sleep this afternoon!" Nope! And there was no nursery service for the 2nd service, either. So I missed both. O well, Olivia got some extra mommy time today, which is okay.

Here's the big news for the weekend--last evening Nate's uncle installed central air for us! And the people rejoiced! Nate's parents had this AC unit, and Uncle Paul gave us a steal of a deal on the installation. Thank you so much, Uncle Paul! Even though it was only 76* in our house last night, we ran the air anyway for a couple hours. It was heavenly. Today it got up to a mere 68*; tomorrow's high is 69*... but I'm sure we'll have more hot days coming. What a blessing.

Question: If you had an antique Maytag wringer washer sitting in your garage, how much would you sell it for? I've no idea whether it works. Someone at our garage sale paid me $15 for it and never picked it up. I called his number 4 times, and he never called back. I snapped this photo for craigslist, and I'm wondering what y'all think. It's in fair shape, minus some rust on the legs.

I am sooooo jealous of your central air!! That's one thing that this house didn't/doesn't have. We were spoiled with it at our last rental unit. Hoping tax time is in our favor and we can get something installed in the spring. LOVE the top picture with Livvie's fresh-out-of-the-tub look. CUTE!

have you checked into local flea markets? we had an old fashion lawn mower in our garage and set it out on trash day. the guy that picked it up said he takes things like that to a flea market and usually gets $25-30 for them. people like them for decorations and get this: they buy the old mowers for the exercise.... cracked me up.

I won't comment on my own central air conditioning jealousy . . .

Livvie looks so adorable all curled up on the floor with her doll-baby! Chloe has often surprised me with her lack-of-napping-when-she's-tired.

No idea about your old washer. Try googling it and see what other people are selling them for.
