Date

Nate called me at work yesterday to ask me how my last day was going. He said, "I'm guessing you're kind of sad today..." (He was right.) "...and you probably won't feel like cooking..." (Right again.) "... so I'm taking you to dinner. Be thinking of a place to go!" Hallelujah for my sweet and thoughtful husband!

After MUCH deliberation,--these opportunities rarely present themselves!--I decided on Max & Erma's because I had never been there. It was a good choice. I had the fish 'n' chips, which is strange for me. I think I've ordered fish exactly twice in my life. It just sounded so good to me, and it was. But the best part was...get this...the unlimited ICE CREAM SUNDAE BAR! Wow! Talk about drowning your sorrows! :) I went up only once, but it was so good. (I had caramel sauce and Oreo cookies.) AND, it was only $2.99. I thought that was really cheap. Nate had intended to take me out for dessert anyway. We probably would've gone to Coldstone, which is delightful, but so-o-o expensive.
It was a relaxed and enjoyable ending to my illustrious nanny career.

How thoughtful of Nate! I'll have to file that away about the ice cream sundae bar. 2.99 is so cheap for dessert! Right now I'd probably be dangerous at an ice cream sundae bar . . .

Hope you had a good last day!
