- As a general rule, working with children translates into LOTS of laughter. My little charges are no exception! Enjoy these little snippets of conversations I've had with each child:
- Wade's snippet: At the breakfast table yesterday morning, Wade (age 3) was eating his cereal, watching Olivia play happily by herself. He got a concerned look on his little face and announced, "Karen, you need to have another baby, so Livvie has somebody to play with!"
Evan's snippet: Evan (age 7) had offered to transfer the laundry into the dryer for me. He cleaned out the lint trap and came around the corner all excited. He held up his findings and bragged, "Karen, look at this huge dirt rabbit!" It took me a moment to realize he meant dust bunny.
Corissa's snippet: Corissa (age 10) doesn't offer so many language blunders as the boys, but she can never seem to get this one right. Whenever she leaves a ponytail holder on her wrist too long, she complains, "Oh, no, this thing is cutting off my constellation!"

Very sweet! That is such a huge part of the joy in taking care of children! I can't wait to hear about all of Livvie's.
About a week ago, Laura Grace, after seeing an ant on one of her blocks, said "Oh, hey tiny bugga bugga, whatcha doing on my blocks?!" I was so impressed with such a long sentence for an almost two year old! She also told me just Tuesday (before my water broke:), after she started "whining" about something, "I need to go in time out box!" Kids sure are precious!
I like that one about the constellation! Very cute. Just wait until Livvie gets there, you'll be cracking up during those toddler years!
Karen, BABY BOY IS HERE! Gage Bryant Golden was born at around 3am this morning weighing in at 4 pounds 5 ounces and 17 inches long. Mom and baby are doing well. I am sure Sara will update you as soon as she is able. Thanks for all your prayers. We have a great God! Auntie Trisha
