A Day in D.C.

On Tuesday the weather forecast was promising, so we all went (except Tim) to D.C. to the cherry blossom festival. It was an absolutely PERFECT day--82* and sunny! The blossoms were gorgeous, and we all had a great time... til the ride home! I'll expound later.

The Washington Monument. The gray-looking stuff below the trees is TONS of cherry blossoms. It was so pretty. They hang over the walkway, and when the wind blows, hundreds of petals float away.

This is where we stopped for a picnic lunch (notice the W. Monument in the background.). Too bad we had shadows all over our faces--it would have made a really nice photo!

We breezed through the Holocaust Museum (and I do mean breezed! We did it in an hour.). Unbelievable. I could have spent an entire day in there.
