Last week was full of firsts for Olivia! She had peas for the first time. She didn't like them as well as squash. And she also tried avocado, which she LOVES. On Tuesday she decided that she wanted to sit up unassisted. For the past couple weeks she's been practicing, but she was quite wobbly. I wouldn't have left her sitting alone. But Tuesday morning when we had "sitting practice," she sat right up without help for quite awhile! Then, I put her in her crib sitting up, and she played happily for a long time! So with that "first" came another--her first real bath. Here she is Saturday afternoon, following a vvvvvvery bad diaper fiasco. I think she really liked it; she kept splashing and looking around. I was glad to put her bulky bath seat away.
Then, Saturday night she had another "first." Grammy gave her her first
haircut! She lost almost all of her pretty hair when she battled that nasty cradle cap. All that remained was a little strip down the center of her head. Well, now the rest of her hair is growing back--rather rapidly, I might add!--and the comb-over is just too much. So Grammy trimmed it up, and it looks much better. :) It's still long enough to get a little clip in it, but it blends in much more naturally.
She was so squirmy for Grammy, but it turned out well. She gets her 6-month pictures taken on Tuesday. Gotta get the hair done!
