More Spiritual Siblings!

I am so thrilled to announce the spiritual births of 2 baby Christians! Corissa & Evan accepted Christ as their Savior yesterday afternoon! (I take care of them.) Although they have been curious about spiritual things, I never actually shared the Gospel in its entirety until Thursday evening. I am amazed at the way the conversation came about and then just transitioned into the plan of salvation; I couldn't have dreamed up a better conversation. Just as I finished telling them how to get saved, their dad walked in. Grr! But I told them to think about it and be ready to talk about it tomorrow.

Well, when they got off the bus, we talked about it some more. I asked each of them if they wanted to be saved, and they said yes! They were relieved to learn that they could do it right there. So we all knelt on the kitchen floor, and they both sweetly asked for forgiveness and cleansing from their sin. Praise God! Then I talked to them about eternal security, following Jesus, and confession of sin as new Christians.

So that's the highlight of the week! The Lord threw that in my lap, and I'm so excited to have been a part of it. Please pray for the kids as they begin following Jesus. I encouraged them to tell their parents about it. I plan to talk to the mom Monday morning... unless she calls me before then. I'm not sure what reaction to expect--please pray also that the Lord will give me the words to say.

are the parents not saved?
That's such a neat thing. I have prayed for jackson's slavation even now, but it really struck me after reading carissa's blog about being burdened for my his salvation. i'll pray that everything goes over well and opens a door with mom.

What a huge blessing!! I'll pray that their mom will be open to what you have to say. I'm sure it can feel awkward, but the Lord gives grace when we need it!
