Notice anything different?

Okay, so the head shots kind of gave it away. I HATE the in-between stages of hair growth, but I refuse to pay for a haircut every 6 weeks. So I just deal with the frustration and bad hair days until I can't stand it anymore. (i.e., my "bangs" are supposed to stop just below my eyebrows.)You can see in the first pic how grown out it is!) Well, last night as I was doing my hair for church, I thought, "I'll bet if I could just cut this longest layer at my neck, it'd look a lot better." So right then and there I ran for the shears (This is 20 minutes before church. I don't know what I would've done if I had hacked it all up!). And this morning I took off a bit more. Anyway, this is what I ended up with. It's just a bit different, and it'll buy me a few more weeks. :)

Whaddaya think?

Very Cute, Karen! That is great that you can give yourself a little shape up between cuts. Looks great!

You have beautiful thick hair...oh and you are very brave!!! I would never even attempt to go near my hair with shears!!! It would look like a 2 year old cut my hair!! I have a hair cut where I must go every 6 weeks. ;( I wish I had the ability like you do to cut it on my own that is for sure!

Karen,
you are so pretty. I always run into the bathroom after I watch make-over story and do some scary haircut. I pull it all forward to my chin--and CUT! Then when I flip it back, it's all layered--and for free!!
I love yours, it looks really nice.
love,

Looks fabulous! Wow, you do a much better job than I do. I just don't know when to stop trimming and then I go overboard.

very cute! when i had short hair i did that too. when the longest layer started ticking me off i would just whack it. of course, if i ever tried it 20 minutes before church, it would inevitably look horrid and i would be mortified.
has anyone ever told you, you have a really good profile? b/c you do....stunning. :)

Gorgeous! I have never attempted to cut my hair, and have a feeling that's a good thing. :) You, on the other hand, did a great job! Impressive!
