Date Night

Yes, I finally had a childless date night. Nate and I dropped Livvie at Grammy's and went to Macaroni Grill. I had Penne Rustica, which was DELISH! We really had a great time talking and actually enjoying our dinner. I had to really concentrate on eating slowly and tasting my food. :) It was so very nice. I'm so glad to have Nate's parents around... not just for babysitting, either! The little bugger didn't have such a nice time. When we got back, she was lying on Grammy's legs, breathing as though she had been crying quite a bit. I took her and started talking to her, and the child WOULD NOT LOOK AT ME. I mean, it was deliberate. As soon as I had her, she looked straight at Grammy and gave her beautiful, big smiles. I even tried turning her so that she'd look at me, but she CRANED her neck to avoid me. She looked at Aunt Celeste, too, but it was a couple minutes before she looked at me. Just about broke my heart!

Karen, that is so great that you were able to get a break! Those can be very refreshing times. Livvie is getting so big and she is beautiful! It's fun seeing how they grow and change (and so fast!)

Glad you got a fun date night! Those times away are always great to help get renewed persepective. Esther did the same thing with not looking at us when we're holding her. It's some kind of phase they go through. I'm sure there's a reason why..just not sure what it is. :)
